By using marker shape effects, you can make markers really stand out on your map. These effects are available to you:
- — The glow effect adds a glow around a shape.
- — The shadow effect adds a drop shadow to a shape.
- — The blend effect lets you control how the underlying map image will show through a shape.

The sample below lets you try out different effects and options by using the controls located below the map. Note that the dropdowns in the sample list only a few colors, but marker styles you create can use any color. Have fun!
How do I add effects to a marker?
- Click in the menu.
- Click the marker style name in the list to go to the screen.
- Add the effects to the Normal Effects and Selected Effects fields.
