Interactive maps created with MapsAlive are automatically hosted at tour.mapsalive.com. Anyone who knows the tour's URL can see and use it. If you don't want a tour to be accessible on the internet, you can use the Private option to prevent it from being hosted on our server.
A private tour cannot be published, but you can work with it, preview it, and download it like any other tour. The only difference is that in order to use the tour, you must first download it and then host it on your own server or computer. Once the tour is on your server, you can restrict access to it however you like.
Tours that contain sensitive or confidential data are good candidates for using the Private option. To make a tour private, you simply go to the Tour Manager screen in the Tour Builder and check the Private box.
